Our mission is to build a stronger community by improving and enriching the lives of those who have exceptional physical, developmental or financial challenges.

It's a rare opportunity when you can see that you've improved someone's life. Or, that you've given someone a second chance and restored their hope.

At Good Samaritan Society, Inc., we are the fortunate ones. We, personally,  get to experience how a helping hand can impact a life.

Our Mission Statement presents a broad description of who we help. There is a reason. No one can prepare for a crisis. Children don’t understand why they have limitations caused by developmental challenges. Families can find themselves in a desperate situation because of a  death. For some the need is immediate, and our commitment is to respond quickly and compassionately.  For grant recipients, our assistance is given in the following ways:

Physical, financial and emotional support to a young, grief-stricken family who simply "stopped living" after the husband suddenly died

A camp sponsorship for a child with Asperger Syndrome, who is feeling defeated, because he is bullied at school for being "different"

Funding a scholarship so a young child with Cerebral Palsy can benefit from equine therapy for a year

Awarding a grant to a not-for-profit pet rescue/adoption program which saved 1500 animals in 18 months and donates companion pets to families with special needs children

By definition a "Samaritan" is a helper and a  benefactor. It is someone who is ready and willing to assist those in distress.  When you contribute to our charity, you partner with us to lend that helping hand.

We are always endeavoring to broaden the scope of our assistance. As a nonprofit, public charity, we rely on donations, no matter how modest.  So, any amount is greatly appreciated.

We invite you to enjoy our website and become familiar with us, and those we have helped. It is our hope that you will understand how important you are, and that you can make a difference.

Please, help us help others.
